There are very few exceptions to this.

I have a friend who is a dyed-in-the-wool Halo fan. He has come over many times to play Halo 2 on my PC, on some servers that I found to be too difficult for me with either the controller OR kb/m. He picked the controller up every time and proceeded to be near or at the top of the leaderboard in every round.

There aren't many who can do this, but they're out there.

I still enjoy the 360 controller for GoW, Lost Planet, Halo 2, Bioshock and even Far Cry 2. It's pretty fun in Metro 2033 as well.

It's definitely no good for the twitchy games though (Bad Company 2 etc.).

Oh it is, at least amongst PC gamers.
My buddy's 15 y/o kid thinks he could own me in BFBC2 if we played head to head.

Controllers aren't that bad and I think that some games could be designed so the controller input wasn't a huge bonus.

Many console games have pretty aggressive aim assist or huge crosshair zones to get hits a lot easier than many PC games. Would that auto aim stuff work in a mp environment? I'm not sure would be way too hard to balance.

I thought about posting this when I read it on Kotaku a few days ago, but I agree. KBM is way better than Controller.

Mouse and keyboard just offer a better range of controls. Only games where controllers would have an advantage (or be on par with mouse and keyboard at least, imo) would be sports and racing games.

I'd have to say though that the controller is probably the best device when it comes to sports games. KB and mouse for FPS, then wheel for racing. It wouldn't suprised me if the tables were turned when playing madden on an xbox versus the computer though.

Halo2 has some pretty heafty auto aim forced on when using a controller as I recall.
I remember hearing about people using controller with shotgun as it snaps to the target and you hit the full blast per automatic, and there was some complaints or somesuch.

haha, sorry but thats true. halo games are gimped on PC. controls are not working how they should.

since this is RROD_Box comparision, you could destroy RROD_Box players with G27, the only MS wheel for RROD_Box is that pathetic white wireless wheel.

none of the Logitech stuff works.
