I just bought this card from Newegg after reading many many reviews mostly on how good they overclock. I wanted a 5870 but the good brands never came down in price and the 470 is such a good overclocker it more than makes up for it for $100 bucks cheaper. Anyway after I ordered it I saw this thread on Evga'a forms http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=477362
Does anyone else have this issue and does Nvidia's drivers not work well with my sound card. Should I cancel this order? If I end up with micro studder I will take the card in the back yard and emply a clip into it I have no patience for that kind of stuff ![]() One poster stated Nividia knows about the issue with BFBC and are working on a fix is that true?

Well I can't cancel so I have to hope for the best. I ordered on newegg today and they shipped it already. I just downloaded the 258.96 drivers I guess these will work the best.
I am sure all will be fine I almost never have issues other have. I keep all drivers and o\s patches up to date.

Micro stutters are related to multi GPU setups such as SLI or crossfire. Single cards should not exhibit any microstutters

I think all cards exhibit some microstutter, it's just that with multi-GPU setups it's more perceptible. In some cases the application or drivers are what make the difference. It also depends how low the dips of the stutter bring the framerate. But I haven't really heard of anyone complaining about microstutter with these cards.

good to hear jason thanks! with the high overclocks I am seeing I am getting very excited about this card. EVGA seems to be the preferred brand for Nvidia and I am hoping for the best. I switched to ATI back during the 9800 pro days but was a huge Nvidia fan before that. I like most did the voodoo cards then went to TNT cards. I have a lot to catch up on by Tuesday.

I've had some problems with mine, been following some threads on it. No resolution yet but eagerly waiting. I actually have to force the card to use DX10 in BF BC2 MP or it's not even playable for me, stutters too much. |

Yeah I should have mentioned that BC2 seems to have issues with the 400 series and DX11 but it seems like this should be fixed through drivers. Though is this problem really microstutter? Someone needs to post some detailed framerate graphs. DX10 should be fine though and there's not that much of a visual difference.

Weird how he claims he gets worse stutter in DX10 even though the framerate is lower overall in DX11. Sounds like the results are really hit or miss.
