Froyo begins Aug. 1st. But you can manually begin downloading by going to system updates, beginning tomorrow!

An HTC exclusive, will allow the dual flash to act as a flashlight. That I didn't know.

Tomorrow, however, the EVO 4G is set to get even better thanks to an Android 2.2 update according to Engadget. The update will be available tomorrow to customers that initiate the update via the phone's software update feature. The update will be pushed automatically to other EVO 4G customers starting the week of August 1.

In addition to the updates provided with Android 2.2 (Froyo), HTC also has included some new goodies of its own like the ability to use the LED flash as a flashlight and improved 720p video recording
