Hello, I have the problem that when upgrading Xorg of the version 7.4 to 7.5 in Slitaz 3, the controller NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.18 ( and the 96.43.16 too), doesn't return of the hibernation.
If I change the controller Nvidia for the generic vesa driver in xorg.conf, the system resume without problems from the hibernation. These are the /var/log/messages of when it returns successfully and when he fails in making it:: Jul 31 00:57:33 (none) user.info kernel: PM: Syncing filesystems ... Sorry, of agreement and thank you for their observation; I attach the file nvidia-bug-report.log.gz, after having begun X with the order: startx--- logverbose 6.
I should clarify that after the hibernation the system is totally inoperative and the monitor shows a legend of "non signal"; the only form of reestablishing it is with the reset button. Another time thank you for their attention. |

in the mean time, learn to use Magic SysRq so that you shutdown your system gracefully and not using the reset button: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_SysRq_key

Hello Licaon and thank you for the suggestion about Magic SysRq, there is already recompiled the kernel and I have proven successfully with the sequence of keys:
Ctrl-Alt-SysReq- R E I S U B Best regards... |

Again, hello!
I should suppose that the only solution to this problem is to downgrade to the previous version of Xorg server... ? Waiting for your answer sincerely the greeting. |

Solved !!!
Hello, I finally got him to hibernate correctly and for I had it that recompile the kernel of the system disabling the build of the modules agpgart and dri; with I achieved it to enable the acceleration of the Nvidia AGP driver and the system now hibernates and resumes from the hbernation without problem...!
