Well I've already found something wrong. Wifi does not work for some reason.....

First off - thanks for the link to the update. I'm running Froyo early now thanks to you

Second, my wifi is working great. As a matter of fact, everything is working great now. Froyo has fixed my main gripe with the DROID (only having 3 home screens).

Froyo for DROID - now with more love!!

I've been reading that Google left out the Wifi stuff for some reason, gotta wait on Verizon to start rolling it out.

It's out, you just have to manually to the update (easy and it's not rooting). I thought there was a bug where it was draining my battery more than usual, but turns out that it was the latest Facebook app update. It got fixed this morning.

2.2 on the Original Droid is awesome. Faster, got the "Update All" button for app downloads, and I really like the bright interface of Messaging and GTalk.

I've been having some random slowness issues with 2.2 on my Droid but I'm still trying to test it out. I've thought about rooting my phone and trying a custom ROM but I'm still doing my research on the whole deal. I've got EasyRoot ready to go too. Maybe a custom ROM will run a little smoother.

I'd also like to root so I can backup my phone using something like Titanium.

I talked to Verizon tonight and they said android 2.2 will be available for OTA update on the Droid August 13th. One day after the Droid 2 release. Looking forward to it.

So, if I'm hearing you right, motodroid froyo 2.2 patch goes live officially tomorrow? Cause I was about to post another rant as to how verizon was SCREWING THE POOCH, on this whole update thing.

Yep, it's the 14th now and no 2.2 this is lame, thanks flash and verizon for being retarded.

This must be a test from God cause someones moto droid auto updated to 2.2, here at work. Just great, frankly I'm having a hard time right now...lol

Edit, why wouldn't this be a global update? Why do only certain phones get it, and not all?

After having Froyo for two weeks now, I'm not extremely thrilled with it. My phone is overall slower than 2.1 Update 1 and it's really pissing me off. Thinking about finding ways to rollback to 2.1 Update 1.
