Not really. It did have a few optimisation, but nothing game changing, still a very basic port. Also added gamepad support. It's playable, but not as polished as many recent PC ports have been. :

I am sure the console version was capped as well, it has nothing to do with being a bad PC port, it's just an iffy game to begin with.

Yap. It never felt right. It's just not as noticeable on console. It's the biggest budget, budget game ever... :
: As the price shows, even on release you could buy this for 60AUD (Normal new release games go for 120AUD). That's for console BTW. |

In other news I got this for Christmas and is there a way to force AA? Doing it through standard nHancer settings results in massive graphics corruption (reminds me of Splinter Cell Double Agent).

Ok so playing through the first couple levels and then the Tatooine bonus level I have to say this is actually a good port. Not sure what the complaints are about.
- You can force AA with the Vanguard profile and it works perfectly with little performance hit. With AF forces as well and a high resolution it makes this already stunning looking game look even more amazing. If you like Star Wars I can't imagine not loving this game for the visuals alone. - All the videos and even the artwork in the gallery section is uncompressed and full 1080 res and looks stunning. This makes the file size large, sure, but haven't we always complained when the videos look like crappy console res? Here is a game that does not do that and you all complain about the file size. - 30fps locked is annoying and Aspyr probably could have removed the cap which was surely in the console version as well, but the important thing for me is that even with AA forced and all that it NEVER fell below 30, and with the amount of physics and enemies on screen that is impressive. - Bonus levels seem cool so far, the Tatooine level was great visually and from a "what if" perspective. Getting all the bonuses and the original game for $40 at launch is nice. So yes, the game is a hack n' slash and it has some annoyances, but the PC port seems great to me and by far the best version of the game.
