Hi,
i have periodical minifreezes (1-3 seconds) in X, if i use the bfs scheduler from Con Kolivas. Do i use xorgs nv-driver, the freezes are gone. There are no entrys in any logfile at all. Anyone has a clue, to fix this problem? I asked con in irc, but he also use the nvidia-driver and can't confirm this issue. |

I'm using nvidia driver with a BFS kernel, and no such problem here. Have you tried the 195.36.x series ? 256 series is seriously bugged, 256.44 : hard freezes with GT240, 256.35 : monitor go off when switching from X servers ... With 195.36.31 no problem at all.
Have you tried the regular scheduler ? Last edited by dura91; 08-12-10 at 03:34 AM. Reason: Remove unneeded quote |

Without bfs, all is fine.
With 195.36.31 it's the same problem as with 256.44 and bfs. |
