Default Hp V9000 Laptop Quick Question

I was given a laptop ,an HP v9000 which was dead.I heated up the nvidia video chip on the mobo with a heatgun and pressed the chip back on using a piece of wood and Voila! it booted into Vista first try.Now to avoid this I would like to crank the fan to full.Does anyone have any ideas what I should try? I gonna install painkiller on it first and see how that works.

:edit,it has a 7600go for video with 256mb dedicated ram.

Default Re: Hp V9000 Laptop Quick Question

I searched and came to the assumption that no software exists to adjust the internal fan so I went ahead and grabbed one of these. http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...224&CatId=3486
