Default Can I just use the RH9.0 RPM of the Graphic Driver for Fedora Core 1?

Hi hi- I'm using Fedora Core 1 and am enjoying it ATM but I'm wondering if I can use the Redhat9.0 installer since they are essentially the same thing....

or will Nvidia come out with a RPM for Fedora shortly? Thanks

Most likely, if you have an rpm specifically made for RH9 it won't work, unless its a .src.rpm you are rebuilding for your kernel.

There is an rpm made by a couple guys specifically for FC that uses the current nvidia-installer script, removes Mesa, and installs the nvidia driver with post-install scripts on the rpm. I don't have the link to this anymore unfortunately, and can't find it again (it was in RedHat bugzilla, and the fedora-test-list archive).

I don't think they were happy with how it was working when I saw it tho.. so I would suggest you stick to the installer rather than any rpm at this time.

Remove the Mesa libGL before installing, then just run the nvidia-installer from root as per the Readme.

rpm -e --nodeps XFree86-Mesa-libGL
./NVIDIA_L......pkg2.run

nvidia-installer
