Wow- simply stunning.

Ya'll convinced me- I'm putting either Ubuntu or Kubuntu back on my rig- but I'll wait till after the rebuild. I'm not really gaming like I used to, and when I do it's mostly older titles from like 4+ years ago. Considering picking up a GTX460 and just rocking that and Ubuntu/Kubuntu for a while.

But when I do, expect to see me quite frequently in the linux forums.

I just formatted my Windows 7 install. It looks like my key got blacklisted and it's saying it's not genuine.

Screw Windows. I have EVE Online running great in WINE anyway.

I didn't buy it no. I downloaded the RTM from Microsoft and got a valid OEM key. If it was not valid it wouldn't have activated in the first place and I phoned it through.

Grey that's awesome. I have Ubuntu on a laptop I haven't fired up in a while. I might give it a go this weekend. Last time I was messing around with Conky and it was a blast.

Ah gotcha, so we both Window-less

It's good - got my old standby Doom 3 for a quick fix here and there, and will be installing RTCW soon, which never gets old.

Thanks! I love it - runs like a champ on my old XPS m140 laptop, set up almost the same as the desktop. I'm very surprised how much I'm not missing Windows at the moment

You guys are brave. I've tried for years to get Linux as my primary OS but gaming has been the deal breaker. I don't think Linux will ever get 1:1 performance with Windows. But ill still use Linux for any old PC any day.

Yeah well, EVE Online is working perfectly in WINE and that's the main game I'm playing. it's ok, I've got my faster, bigger drive for Linux now anyway.

Edit: Oblivion seems to be working fine as well, so I'm happy.
