I wanted to REALLY bad but at the end I just wanted to wait for the prices to come down. Hoping for some nice Black Friday sales or holiday sales.

SSD came in today, and am just installing Win 7 now.

I'll get some benches up after I get my 480 installed in the am.

Best upgrade I think I've done yet.

I'm not sure what the best benchmark to use is, so I just grabbed ATTO and benched with the default settings.

Also, disabled disc defrag, readyboost, hibernation and system restore - any other tips guys?

This thing is really the best upgrade yet. I can't wait for larger SSDs to drop in price so I can get my games/media over to one. Still kind of blown away by the performance

Same here I just joined the club too. i got an Intel X-25 80GB SSD

once they come out with the bigger drives i'm also gonna put my games on one.

Awesome. I remember the W7 Beta took that much time to install and then when it actually was released, it took longer. I would love a simple 10 minute OS install. Amazing.

I remember that, Vista too I think.

So far I can't find a single thing to complain about with this drive, I just feel like I'm forgetting something wrt setup, but right now I'm just trying to minimize anything that would cause excessive writes.

17.6Gb install and that's with office, drivers, photos and music which are almost a Gb together, so about 16Gbs with personal files removed. Sounds about right.
