Hi,
Linux 2.6.35 x86_64, NVIDIA 260.19.06, bug report attached. Using Compiz as the window manager with GTK as the decorator. Bug 1 When I have more than 1 tab open in Firefox 3.6.9, and close one tab, Firefox switches to the last used tab but the screen still displays the old (now closed) tab. If I scroll the page, it instantly updates to the new (current) tab contents. This does not happen in Chromium 6.0.472.53. Bug 2 Pasting text in a text box in Firefox doesn't work properly, the new text isn't displayed, until I scroll the page/textbox. Sometimes it works though. Can anyone reproduce? |

This sounds like the known synchronization problems between GLX and Damage that are inherent in the design of those extensions. See this thread for a discussion of the currently proposed fix:
http://lists.x.org/archives/xorg-dev...st/011830.html http://lists.x.org/archives/xorg-dev...st/011835.html Short version: Compiz can handle Damage events in response to rendering before the rendering has actually occurred. |
