The boards are currently available in servers http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/dis...forms_AMD.html but will be a while till the desktop.. likely next year.

This is amazing
You guys are 'arguing', and there is no blood. Are you on the internet?

Anyway, when are we going to see these new bulldozers? Is there any REAL point in upgrading now, because I'm pretty happy with my current setup.

If I end up being able to use a Bulldozer in my current board (I have 8 GB DDR2 ECC in there that I don't want to give up unless prices come down) that would do a great deal to get me into the AMD camp more thoroughly.

AM3+ chips do not support DDR2, only DDR3.

Is there any benchmarks of games with the new 12 core AMD CPU ,I have look but have not found any benchmarks with games in them ,That what I would be concern with since the others ones I have seen don't mean nothing to me.I would like to see intel come out with a 12 core CPU,not that it would help many games but in the future it should.I don't care about how much power it uses in a desktop ,it would be different if it was a mobile I wanted it for.I thought newegg.com had the 8 core and 12 core listed on the desktop CPU's now I see they are just listed in the servers ,but I don't see why it can't be a desktop CPU too since they are basically the same thing.I still don't see why the power would be a concern if they have a different motherboard to go with the new CPU's.

Because higher clock speeds are more important that more than 4 cores for games. 12 cores at 2.3GHz makes no sense for gaming right now.
