rice is one of the best substances that absorb water, helps with evaporation. what probably happened now is that phone didn't dry completly you turned it back on and something might have shorted.

Newer phones have a water sensor that allows the vendor to detect whether or not the phone has been water damaged... and if the sensor is tripped, you haz no warrantyz. It's usually a recessed hole with a little red dot. On my HTC Pure it's in the stylus hole, about 1/4" in.

Anyways. It works again now. I'll wait a bit longer before going back though to avoid any issues. |

Broke again. The standby key makes the letter h appear. This only happens on a reboot though. So IDK.

Never reboot it. Well unless you need to type something with the letter h, then go for it.

So update, today I decided to try again at it. I opened it up, and peeled off the white keyboard membrane. Then I used isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab to clean all the corosion that you couldn't see before. Then I put it back on, and booted up. It worked.
The keys respond fine, and I can use this phone just like before.Sweet. |
