Default Geforce4 440 Go 32MB, and new driver display problem

Hi, I am currently having a problem with the new drivers. I am on a Toshiba 1955-S805 (specs below) with a Geforce4 Go 440 32MB card. The problem is, when I type in startx and hit enter, then screen turns super bright white, with funky orange and blue lines in it. Something just tells me that can't be good for my LCD hehe. I have tried all of the mobile kernel options, and this has no effect. I think it is a refresh rate problem, there is a bunch of stuff about out of range in the .log, but I have no idea about stuff like that. Also, the old "nv" driver works, but the new "nvidia" driver does not. I have installed from the nvinstaller, and the texstar rpms, and get the same results.

If anyone can please help, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Seems like your horizontal refresh rate is off, can you post your xf86config file?
