I'm not saying they're gonna. They won't let them, but at least PS3 has no problem supporting this.

I already said, it's due to compression and probably the line slowing down at the same time. The technology isn't perfect, there's not enough bandwidth on either side, for now, but that will change.

Well my thoughts are someone that doesn't have a PC capable to play PC games more than likely won't be paying for an internet connection capable of using this service anyways.

They can have a console and instead of buying a computer, they can get the MicroConsole from Onlive.
You can get 12Mbps fibre optic for 10 bucks here, that's the cheapest option they have. And who doesn't have internet these days?

Most people do, not all have broadband.. and a lot of people have the "lite" broadband which is like 768/128. Some are 1mb down though.

That's why I was quite surprised, they chose USA as their test ground. The situation in EU is much better, when it comes to broadband penetration. The biggest ADSL provider here offers 16/0.5 for $20-25 and almost everyone else is either cheaper or faster.

its not only about bandwidth, more important is latency.
