Default sub/amp is dieing, suggestions for a new 5.1 for pc?

Well it looks like my long time faithfull cambridge works sub/amp is showing its age. It regularly increases and decreases volume (analog volume control). It was a nice 200 dollar setup from almost a decade ago and its sound quality never disappointing. So now I am looking to try and replace it with something of similar audio quality, but I can't splurge on anything for some time so funds are limited. Anyone know of any quality 5.1 (or even 4.1) kits out there for PCs that are well priced? Also as an alternative, my satalite speakers are still all good, so if I can just purchase a good sub/amp unit, that would be great too.
