3D Vision Surround doesn't currently support anything above 2xAA (probably for performance concerns), so for most games if you set the AA to anything above 2x and try to run it in 3D Vision Surround, the bottom of the screen will have this big red message telling you that the AA has been downgraded to 2xAA, like so:
![]() However, I get this message all the time in Fallout NV in 3DVS, even if I have AA disabled both in-game and in the CP. I'm guessing the engine is doing something weird that the driver is interpreting as applying AA.

Installing my copy as we speak. I don't like the idea of Steam activation. Now I can't sell my copy after I get tired of playing it.

That idea crossed my mind. Well, too late for that. I will start doing that for now on with all games that require Steam activation.

Yah I know what you mean. It's the beginning when you wake up and Doc Mitchell sitting on a chair next to the bed. The frame rate is horrible. After you create your character the frame rate picks up smoothly. But there seems to be a stuttering bug; every 5 seconds the performance gets jittery as hell.

you still can't legally sell it, and valve can block/ban the account when they find out.

I am going to give it a go. This game is buggy. FPS drops to the low teens every time you discharge a gun, when you look at AI and just stutters ever 5 seconds in general.
My GPUs are only utilized up to 30% at the most. Processor isn't being fully utilized either. And on the cover of the box says "Enhanced for multicore"; my ass. ![]()
