The really weird thing is, I can't play console games with an inverted look axis. I have to play normal.

If You would want to play console games with inverted sticks, it seems more "normal". Becouse pushing a stick forward... makes the imagined end of it go down, which You can imagine as player view.

But then You should invert an left/right look too. .... Thats just to ming boggling to me

I was an inverted guy since duke3d and quake. My wife was a regular and I was tired of switching the mouse option back and forth to accomadate. Trust me...I was very curious to see if I could retrain my brain to be regular instead of inverted and still play fps etc at a high level. It took about a month of practice...but I converted to regular. Although it was frustrating at first when I would push up instead of down and get lost or miss a head shot out of sheer force of habit, but just saying...it can be done.
