Exclamation 260.19.12 + Ext monitor - Pressing CTRL+ALT+F1 bring up TTY in Laptop screen

Hi,

Previously i had asked questions about installing the NVIDIA drivers in UBUNTU 10.10 and ppl were kind enough to give me suggestions for the same.

Now i am able to use my external monitor with 1920x1080 resolution and i am PLEASED.

However i do have one small problem right now.

Usually i use only my external monitor for viewing and set the laptop in a docking station mode. And i have made my laptop to work like that right now. The problem is only when i try to bring up the TTY mode (by pressing CTRL + ALT + F1 thru F6).

Pressing the CTRL + ALT + F1 mode makes the external monitor go blank and brings the TTY login in my laptop screen (which i have disabled in the NVIDIA settings).

Is there anyway to bring that up in the monitor itself ?

I am not sure what information is needed for this, so pls let me know.

Setup -
NVIDIA GTX 260 M SLI mode
DELL S2409W Monitor
UBUNTU 10.10
NVIDIA 260.19.12 drivers

Thanks
AJ
