Isn't the 580 supposed to be out soon?

If so that seems really steep for a card that's going to be yesterday's news really soon.

You could probably buy a turbine from a small jet that would be quieter than that...

The cooling set up you're looking at will add at least another $100-$125 to your cost. I'd need to see at least 30% gains across the board at stock speeds to spend almost $700.

I'd wait for solid reviews on the 580 or 69xx first, but hey, it's your money.

I'm probably going to wait till the 580 is out. If it ends up being not nearly as good as its been hyped to be, I'll pick up a 480 Lightning and OC to 1ghz.

I'd love to see benchmarks at that speed. You're going to have a heck of a card either way.

By the way, that Accelro Xtreme I got - fantastic piece of hardware if you're still considering it. The mounting kits are also available at a few sites now.
