Thanks for all the tips and the link, much appreciated!

I use FEX, which I purchased before REX was released, and it works just fine. So far, I've been reluctant to switch, although I might be tempted, eventually... Both products do a lot for the immersion factor.

I have no real-life flying experience, and in FSX, I typically fly small aircraft: C182 RG II, recently started practicing on the Seneca (both from Carenado), plus my absolute favorite: Aerosoft's BeaverX. I usually use the built-in planner for simple routes, but it's not that good for long-distance IFR flights.

I know navigation computers are simulated on the more complex models, I actually have the CaptainSim 757 (couldn't resist as it was on sale), but flying that plane properly is way above my current skill level...

BTW, if you don't mind me asking, what aircraft do you fly in real life?

Hey guys, I was the las 3 weeks in the hospital. I got a few days "off" before I go back again for the next 3 weeks.
So here are some latest screens (yes, edited!) with one of my new toys. Someone said "Ugly plane, great model!"

You guys mind helping me out? Recall when I first built the rig, installed FSX, it was crashing to the desktop every few minutes into the game. Simply wouldn't run past a few minutes. I set to run as administrator and it was fine... up until today. All of a sudden it started crashing again. I start it up, plan my flight in the CDU and when I am ready to taxi it crashes. Any thoughts? How do you guys set priority? Anyone running this in compatibility mode?

EDIT: For now, it seems to be related to the CDU programming/flight programming. Going to mess around with it tonight.

Hey guys. Just wondering if any of you have any experience with Cumulus X? I'm quite in to soaring at the mo and was looking in to how to program thermals and ridge lift. It seems Cumulus X is the easiest way to go. Do any of you have any tips or any suggestions for other software for soaring? Cheers

EDIT: Here's some good info if anyone's interested... http://www.forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?showforum=230

Haha. I wasn't kidding it wasn't me. It was one of the AI aircraft.

I forgot the original key commands but MSFT made them really dumb so I changes it to CTRL+X. And then CTRL+X 1, etc. Some planes have 4-5 doors to open, stairs, etc. I'll post some pics tomorrow night when I get home.
