Here's my humble attempt. Really making me consider OC'ing.
Right now my system blazes through near every gamy I own either maxed + aa, maxed w/o AA. However, when tesselation becomes more common in games I may need some more umph. ![]() |

It's just a bench using an unrealistic amount of tessellation

![]() I imagine though that within a year or two from now tessellation will be a part of near every AAA game. I'd like to keep this 5770 as long as possible... trying to put my money away for more important things. ![]() However, if need be, I'll pick up an HD7770 or whatever it is on AMD's 28nm lineup. THAT will likely be a killer card. ![]() |

Try running it again,my first attempt bogged down at the start and gave me 4fps minimum, second time it started ok and gave me 11 fps minimum.

I saw the same thing - even hitting escape then restarting the benchmark would give me as much as a 5-6 fps difference on the minimum.

This bench doesn't seem to respond much to overclocking. I've only picked up 1-2 fps between 725 core and 775 core. Not a huge overclock, but I expected a little more. Is my res (1680x1050) limiting my 480? Would a 1080 monitor bring out more of what the 480 is capable of?

Not sure how the GTX 470s are at the top. I suppose some people could be cheating by forcing AA and AF off in the control panel, but specifying it anyway within the demo. |

Also, since the results are simple HTML, they can be edited. The results by CraptacularOne appear to be Normal tessellation results with the results file edited with "extreme". There is no physical way three GTX 470s at those speeds could get that result.
