Considering how many issues I've had with SLI and graphical corruption/crashes in various games, this type of problem isn't exclusive to AMD... I'm sure if you look around there are probably some workarounds for getting crossfire to work. Though there's probably more hoops you have to jump through than getting SLI profiles to work for unsupported games. (single gpu ftw)

I apologize if it looked like i am throlling. I am so frustrated with it since i got this setup, a month after HD5870 lunch. I have no idea who to talk about it cause AMD/ATI either ignore Crossfire problems, later they fix most of it with big a delay of at least month. Haha almost every game needs some special case setup to run it. I got tired of it, and last drop in the sea of pain was with latest drivers where your screen turns pink

How could that go through their QA? I have no idea.

Again i apologize for anything what might look like throlling. I solved my problem by getting SLI GTX470 setup, having said that i will finish this talk.

I get 27,349 GPU score in 3D Vantage with these in Crossfire. I've seen alot higher elsewhere, are people cheating by not enabling High Quality in the CCC?

Well I got a great deal from a friend of mine for a 6870 for $150. I wanted something higher end but I can't justify the cost of a 580 when the 6870 isn't THAT far off for $150.

It's a visiontek. I'm not sure how they are now but I remember they were the company to buy from back in the day. Supposedly comes with a lifetime warranty. Picking it up tomorrow and I'll give my impressions.

I don't know that would be considered a cheat, but I do think it should be noted when posting results.

Well so far so good. Machine boots up and the drivers installed w/o a hitch. First impressions MUCH QUIETER/COOLER than the Fermi. Hits 975 on stock voltage which is nice. Patching up BFBC2 right now.

Actually smoother than the 470. I got some occasional hitching with the geforce that isn't present with the Radeon. I got the ace pin on my first game back in 2 months

Going to do some benches after work. Bought Fallout New Vegas this morning can't wait to play it as well.
