Yea, unfortunately FEAR1 had better water, even had some nice ripples when you shoot it and move around in it.

The DLC wasn't that bad. 1-1.4 hours. Plenty of shootings, felt like a very short expansion. Wasn't bad at all.

I think you'll find it's worth it. Good old fashioned shoot em up.

Does the DLC 'break' the original game? Meaning you can choose to play the game or the new DLC(not finished it yet) I was thinking aboot grabbing it but maybe I'll wait till I finish first.I am loving the game btw, maybe it's missing some bells and whistles but it runs and plays fantastic.

What do you mean by break? When you start a new game it asks you to choose the main game or the DLC, and it saves seperately. One should not effect the other.

It's a fun little DLC, it was worth the $5 they asked for it a couple weekends ago, but is not worth the standard $10 price IMO.

Have to take back most of the bad things iīve said about this game. With the letterbox issue fixed and hard mode tuned with the patch itīs actually a very good game now. I had decided not to touch this one after playing the demo but now iīm glad i bought it

It's been a while since I played this, but I thought it was a good addition to the FEAR series (the first game is my favorite). A bit random with the whole "Alma is drawn to you" thing, I don't remember exactly what was going on there, but it seemed a bit hokey to me. It took me a bit to get used to the checkpoint system. I vaguely recall a few instances where I needed to end the game but had to find a checkpoint first. It probably helped speed along the game because sometimes I spend way too much time saving and reloading, trying to make it through a part of the game with more ammo/health, etc. There were a few scenes I would have liked to replay and I probably would have if it didn't mean going through the whole checkpoint again, but oh well.. This ran extremely well under wine.

I like checkpoint systems better in games but maybe thatīs because i usually donīt mind replaying sections. Donīt know how it would work in serious mode in Serious Sam though

Sorry, i meant all of the bad things. This game is incredible!

If thereīs anyone out there that was put off by the demo (like me), do yourself a favour and try the full game. You wonīt regret it.

What sets it apart is the depth of the visuals ... Looking out onto the broken and wartorn city is unmatched by anything else. Slaughtering the little minions from the hardsuit is also good fun.
