Default How to install CUDA on x86_64 2.6.25 kernel ?

I'm looking at how to use my GPU for some calculation, using CUDA.
The latest CUDA 2.0 beta is already quite old, and doesn't support the latest kernel.
Is there any patch available to get it working ? Or is any release date available ?
Is there any plan to have CUDA support in the "mainstream" driver ?
