The Japanese to every other country ratio is still way out, but hey, they're a Japanese company and want to please their home fanbase (as seen by the key older Japanese cars being made premium). It's annoying when other iconic cars are neglected of the same treatment, but I'm not someone who ignorantly thinks of these cars Japanese crap so I will enjoy them myself. I'm happy there are premium Skylines and RX-7's because IMO these cars are the most fun to tune... and afterall, only premium cars allow you to change the wheels and body (aero) kits. The problem I have is with the list is the obvious holes and omissions. As said I like the balance of new and old and think this is very important... there's just quite a few key iconic cars missing (not to mention Porches, but that's another topic) as well as some obvious newer ones which you would have thought to be added (2011 Mustang GT 5.0, Koenigsegg CCX/CCXR, 2010 Cadillac CTS-V, Ascari A10, Mercedez E63 AMG, Maserati MC12, Honda HSV-010 GT). As for the focus just being on cars. I think the driving physics is just as important for me, as well as tracks and sound. The physics and sound they have improved greatly and Forza are nowhere near being on par with either by the looks of things. Tracks, yeah, lacking, still some good stuff in there but a few more world tracks would have been nice. I won't say too much about NASCAR as I'm not a fan, but I don't understand how having more ovals is really going to change much? I know there are slight differences in the tracks, and the scenery is different and I know they have the license and all, but personally I'd much rather see them add say Spa than another oval.... jus' sayin'.

I think they are actually from "1080p" mode which is 1280x1024 2xMSAA hence the jaggies. However 1280x720 mode will use 4xMSAA and in motion aslong as game maintains 60fps it should do temporal AA meaning it doubles AA as in GT5 Academy demo unless they removed it. It can also be MSAA resolve failing on high contrast edges due to HDR like seen in for example BFBC2 on PC.

I was just wondering if anyone had good suggestions for a wheel and pedal set for the PS3 that would also be compatible with the PC? I know a lot of you will probably pipe up with the Logitech G25 or G27 or the Fanatecs, but those cost a pretty penny, and I'm not sure how much I would use a wheel in the near future besides for GT5 and the upcoming DiRT3. Is there anything that is cheaper? I saw the Logitech Driving Force GT wheel for ~$120, but is that for PS3 only?

I know which I'd rather have. I merely think they should have hired more people to model the cars as well as making better choices of the cars they decided to do. Same deal with the tracks.

As far as the force GT, I believe it will work with the PC with the latest drivers as someone from logitech posted here: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/PC-Gam...-PC/m-p/305773

^ lol Why the reaction?
Slawter. I don't get your stance on this at all. You don't have to use the standard cars, just don't buy cars from the used car lot if you don't want them... all premiums are in the dealers. The standard cars look good enough though, better than many competing games out there. So why not include them for people who are fans of those cars? Poloyphony are trying to cater to all sorts of racing/driving/car enthusiasts. So there's a little bit of something for everyone. Unfortunately that also means there's stuff lacking for everyone... the end result should be a good all round game though. If you only care about simulation racing and new cars, that's great, but I can assure you that millions of other people who will buy GT5 enjoy the lineup of older cars and would be downright pissed if they were all axed in favour or more new cars. Same deal with the tracks... if they dropped one of the world circuit tracks or even fantasy tracks for another NASCAR oval people would be pissed. As it is now there's a good balance at least... yes, lacking content, but a good balance of what is there for the most part. I know I'm probably coming off a bit pro GT, but I just don't agree with your closed minded attitude of basically saying everyone who wants to drive one of the standard cars should miss out because they're not good enough for your standards and you don't desire any of those cars anyway.

I guess I'll find out tomorrow, but does anyone know if there will be a bumper camera view or front view for the 800 regular cars? I know there won't be a c0ckpit view for these cars, but at least if they include a camera near where you would be if you were actually sitting in the car rather than behind the car, I would be OK with that.
