Default GT 430 won't display 1080p@59.94Hz--insists on 1080i?

Due to my television having a bug that does not allow for turning off overscan when running at 60Hz over HDMI, I have typically run 1920x1080 at 59.94Hz.

Due to my television's broken EDID and/or the inadequacy of settings applications, I have typically either set this via xorg.conf or via xrandr. It has worked quite well before, but my GT 430 seems to refuse to display at this resolution. When I set it on the 430, my television reports a 1080i signal (still displayed with the TV's overscan), and I see the tell-tale sign of an interlaced image when there is movement on the screen, confirming that is the case. Additionally, movement on the screen is jittery beyond explanation of the interlacing and the vertical sync is not active.

I've expressly set the modeline and turned off every mode validation option I can find. The Xorg log claims it is setting the mode I specify. Neither the modeline I was previously using nor a modeline from the EDID modes seem to make a difference.

Running driver release 173 on Ubuntu 10.10, with kernel 2.6.35 (32-bit).
The nvidia-bug-report.log.gz is attached.

Any aid is much appreciated.

nvidia website returns the v260.1921 to be the only one supporting the GT430.
Could you try this driver version?

I was mistaken--I was, indeed, using the 260 series. I updated to the latest version (260.1921) to no avail. The same issue persists, unfortunately.
