Question My EVGA GTX 570 SC is hot and loud: How about Your GTX 570?

Got my EVGA GTX 570 SC and I must say that I'm not reallly happy. My temps: 46C idle, 89 C under load and the noise sounds for me like a hair dryer. Could You please post Your brand, temps and noise level as I'm looking for a GTX 570 with bearable temps and noise? Or should I change to GTX 580?

What about your ambient temps? Do you get good air flow through your case?

I just got my GTX 570 yesterday. I picked up the PNY version. Under stock speeds, mine stays around 40C idle, 85 C under load (Crysis & 3DMark 11). Although the radiator heat keeps my apartment is a bit too warm though. When I crack my windows and cool my place down to something comfortable, I noticed my idle temps drop to 34C.

As for noise, i'd say it's pretty quiet. Much more quiet than my old 9800GTX that it replaced.

This is really funny. Shivering for a good tempered video card. My airflow is good as I dont dare to put on the heating even in winter for my rig not becoming feverish.
It seems to me by now that these temps and noise are normal for this model.

Those work darn well on 480s and 470s. Not sure if they would work on the 570.

They're quiet and manage temps well.

Mine don't seem to be loud at all.

Idle is 38c with the fan manually set to 50% and after about 40 minutes of Metro2033 78c.

But... the room temp is 68F.

I think I might try opening the window a crack and see what that does for temps. It's 6F out right now... burrrr

My POV/TGT GTX570 has also 82 after one hour games. Try the Scythe Setsugen 2, this cooler is perfect for the GTX 570

I took one card out to see what kind of difference it would make with extra airflow and not having 2 cards sandwiched so close together....

Idle: 36c (not much change but some)

After 1+ hours of playing Batman AA max temp: 65c

I know, not a terribly taxing game it's just what I happened to be playing...

FYI, the cooler is the same in the 570 and the 580 so that is not going to help you out. Same noise levels.
