I'm still wondering what kind of differences you will see going from the 2500K to the 2600K. Would be nice to see an actual percentage change for the extra 2MB of L2 cache and HT support.

Man microcenter would have been the way to go!
http://www.microcenter.com/search/se...phtml?Ntt=HB3C The I7 2600K is listed at $280 but it unavailable. The I5 2500K is still available and only $180. EDIT: Looks like they are completely gone. See if they even ship me one or not. Hmm apparently try my first link. It did let me add one to the cart. Tax cuts down the price difference between newegg and microcenter. Also there is $6 shipping from Microcenter. My order was still $30 cheaper though. Now do I actually want to purchase this thing or not. ![]() EDIT2: Hmm.. Just got an e-mail telling me it is on backorder. Guess I'll just leave it that way for now and see if it ever ships. |

Any good mobos yet that are good for overclocking and perhaps SLI?
Hoping to stick to Asus but might consider eVGA.

Asus has a pretty good selection of boards. They honestly have too many choices.
A P8P67 Deluxe would be a good option. I'd much rather stick with ASUS or gigabyte as well. You won't see me go near an EVGA product anymore. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131679 I've been trying to find reviews but they are not many yet. As far as overclocking goes it shouldn't matter all that much which board you have if you're changing the multiplier. You're not really increasing anything on the board except for the power draw. All the reviews I've seen it didn't matter which board it was the processor could hit 4.2 - 4.4 without even changing the vcore. Here is a really great review of the Gigabyte P67A-UD7. Someone is pushing their two CPUs to 4.8ghz and 5.2ghz. ![]() http://www.overclock.net/intel-gener...uide-p67a.html I'm still looking into more information about having the NF200 bridge chip. I don't like the fact that it should still be using 65nm, but maybe it's not too big of a deal. On my 780i it is located under the same heatsink as the northbridge, and the temps on that are okay. It's the southbridge on this board that I'd like to get away from. It idles at 65 - 70C and can easily hit 90C while playing a game. I've been checking reviews and the screen shots only show temps for the CPU and "MB" which should be the southbridge, and all of them are very cool. SB chips are running at 26C in BIOS. |

The only negative part about the board I see is only two RAM slots. Any 16b kits out yet that are 8gb sticks (x2)?
Thanks again. ![]()

That would be a newegg typo. If you look at the picture it has 4 slots on it. The only boards that might have two slots would be Micro ATX.

Not that I can find. Everything at AMD is about Fusion at the moment.
