Engineer: Here's the sample!

Marketing: "Uh, it's wide open! Someone could put their fingers right in the fan. Put some bars across the front to prevent that."

Engineer: "That will restrict airflow too much and this thing will catch fire."

Marketing: "Well, it doesn't matter if the gaps are big.. we just want the bars there so it 'appears' safer."

Engineer: "But then they could still put their fingers in the fan."

Marketing: "Yeah, but its a bit less likely and anyways it looks safer. Appearances are what matters."

So they only have a 375W power envelope to work in.... Two of those cards and I'd be buying a new PSU after mine explodes.
