Default Linux X windows on touchsmart

I am trying to get X windows working on 5 touchsmart displays.
lspci says Gefore 9300 and lspci -n shows 10de:0860 as ID's.

In the X org file below started with -- -logverbose 5
all the values are read as FFFF it seams.

I have tried 2 drivers:
NVIDIA 256.35
NVIDIA 260.19.29

Both with the same result.

What can I do to get this working?

I had to do two things:

1) remove acpi=off on the kernel boot line (never mattered before)
2) use the latest driver 260.19.29 instead of 256.35.

however - when I do this (use the latest driver) and play videos
and stop the video I get that last video image frozen on the screen.

Now I am stuck. I have 5 touchsmart units and cannot use them as
the video issue is a show stopper for me.

I posted an earlier but with a Zotac unit about this. Dropping back to the above
version seemed to fix it. The above version works on hte zotac - but not with the
touchsmarts.

Is there anyway to "clear" or "mark dirty" the video buffer from the command line???
How can I get around the video remaining on the screen?

I was just waiting on the next version to try on the zotac's - however - now I need a fix for these
touchsmart units.

Help!

Is anyone from nvidia out there???

I can easily reproduce this error.
I can run openoffice with one of my power point files in the background
then run totem with the pirates trailer in fullscreen and I can see
the the video coming through the power point where
the letters on the power point are BLACK. everyplace else the power point
shows as normal.

I tried compiling gst-plugins-bad with --disable-vdpau out that didnt seem to help.

Are there any work arounds for this?
Is there perhaps a beta with a fix - I'd be happy to test.
Anything?
