That is a good video. The night vision scene made me wonder how good ARMA would look running on CE3. That would be cool.

Yea. My 5870 just gave me its 2 weeks notice.

It looks like Crysis 2 is going to make my system squirm. That's exciting considering that no game that I own (outside of Metro 2033) can bring my system to its knees. Even Crysis is able to play @ 1920x1200, 4xaa, enthusiast settings, and still run very smoothly.

Sorry, i mistolked your post, i though it was one of those. IT looks good on your pics but in motion playing it never looked so good. I used to get alot of those before, therefor the reaction.

You're quite right, crysis looks even better in motion. But u do need to use supersampling.

Please dude, upgrade to a new radeon. The 6950 isn't expensive about 289 dollar and can be unlocked easy to a 6970 and come close to GTX 580 performance. Or if your mobo supports 2 cards, get dual 6850's for just over $300 and it will beat the 580 hands down. Then u can enjoy Crysis 2 on MAX!

Am unsure how Ce3 will handle the extreme drawdistance that the Arma games are demanding. According to the guys at bohemia interactive forum it can't be done without getting serious framerates problem. I beg to differ, it all comes down to poly and tris -counts and objects/vegetation optimizations...

Btw, that video is NOT CE3, it's Ce2... And it looks like the RV3 engine is there too, but am not sure. Something is really fishy about that video thats all i can tell...

CE3 on the consoles isn't going to look half as good as CE2 on the PC anyway. I just hope all the post processing and detailed shader goodness shows in the PC version of Crysis 2.

You can be sure of it. And the Consoles are gonna run at DX9 and Medium settings while the PC version will get Veryhigh, Dx11 and AA and ofc supersamplin

Here chew on these ones and tell me I dont care enough about Stalker games to without doubt spend lots of hours to download nice mods and make my own to get a solid package for me to enjoy (seeing all that advanced tech and perfomance impact being wasted due to bad art decisons making it look like a DX8 game in the wilderness). Anyway love how it looks now, jaw-dropping and the most important the gameplay is superb.

Hi, can u tell me what mods did u use. I am playing the first stalker and it does not look that good with the defaults. Specially after playing Crysis. I like the game but the graphics do not look too good.

I ditched that mod in favor of S.C.O.P. for Call of Pripyat which gives better visuals. For SHoC I recommend Complete mod 2009 and for Clear Sky the respective Complete Mod for CS.

Thanks a lot. I installed the 2009 Mod and it made a huge difference. It is a lot more inmersive now.
