Default Im so f***ing excited about the NGP (PSP2)

http://www.engadget.com/liveblog/liv...west&refresh=0

Codename NGP (no word of PSP2 name so it doubt it will be called PSP2)

Quad Core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU
Quad Core PowerVR SGX543MP4+ GPU
5" 960x544 Resolution OLED Touchscreen
5" Rear TrackPad
Dual Analog Sticks (Actual Analog sticks like Mini PS3 sticks not like PSP)
3G and WiFi GPS
Front and rear facing Camera
Flash based memory games
3 axis Gyroscope
3 axis accelerometer
3 axis electronic compass
bluetooth
Built-in mic

"LiveArea Network" Very cool

Metal Gear Solid 4 was shown running on the NGP with no changes running at 20FPS looked crazy

Too bad that PS3 will probably be cheaper.

Don't use my PSP for games and don't see that changing. How many people actually play games on the go these days? I'll just get games on PS3 instead.

The only way they could sell me this is if naughty dog did an exclusive uncharted game on it.

As expected, its a device loaded to the hill with all of todays best tech. Battery life will definitely be an issue I'm sure pushing those specs. And what about the media, all download only most likely or what? Backwards compatible with current PSP UMB games?

This is going to bomb horribly. It's a fantastic piece of hardware. Looks awesome and fun. But its probably going to be too expensive to be a toy and too inconvenient for anyone with a modern smart phone that already plays "games". It makes me a sad panda, but I fail to see a sustained market for it.

3G. Is this also a phone? Cause it has a built in mic.

This will excite a few people but most likely be the Microsoft Kin V2.0

The two biggest issues I see are A)Battery life B)price

3DS is launching at 250 and is going to sell a retarded amount. Price isn't always everything. And Sony is generally willing to take a hit on hardware... we will have to wait and see. I'm pretty excited about it.

Given the feature set, $250 is a steal.

Yeah if they launch at $250 I can see it outselling the 3DS, Especially in Japan if they announce a Monster Hunter game.

What makes me so excited about the device is the fact that porting from current consoles to it wont be as tough so being able to play the same game on the go as you play at home will be easier. Or even cross platform play!

Imagine being able to take your Killzone 3 mp gameplay on the go...

Yup. I'm hoping Sony is willing to take a big hit and launch it for 200. Sounds crazy, but I definitely could see it doing well at that price. Same price as a 3DS would be fine for me, but many people would pick up a 3DS because of the name. We shall see... I'm watching video of Uncharted being played on it and it looks AMAZING!
