I think only if you do a lot of video/photo editing/rendering/encoding/extracting/converting/compressing etc.

For games there does not seem much difference as long as you got the core numbers which you do.

Probably not. The 950's don't seem to be overclocking beasts, so the increased headroom is minimal.

As for the people still running Q's, Sandy Bridge would be a great cheap upgrade. You can get a 2500K, mobo and RAM for under $500 total and OC the piss out of it for a nice performance boost.

Well i'm going to build a second machine. I went to a Lan on the weekend and this PC of mine must weigh between 70-80Kgs. It's just too bloody heavy to lift in and out of the car.

As SB boards and CPU's are cheap, this will fit nicely and I can just swap out GPU's and memory as I need them. So for me I only need Motherboard, CPU and Case.

I did and I was NOT disappointed. Currently running at 4.7GHZ right now. Performance in Black Ops more than doubled, and it nearly doubled in BC2.

My old rig used to get lugged about quite often, but I've no chance now. Gonna have to move it soon for a clean and coolant change, tho.

As for Sandy Vag, I'm gonna skip it I think. My 920 has never skipped a beat at 4.2Ghz, which is fast enough for my current needs.
