Tbh, having thought about it, with a kid on the way this console infestation is probably helpful. The thought of upgrading every six months is a headache. You can get away with 2-3 years right now, which suits me fine.

I'm not worried about graphics being "held back" because it means I won't have to upgrade as often.

I don't mind so much the console games we now get on our PCs. What I do mind is the near total lack of effort they put in to make some proper PC adjustments....AA, FOV, controls, menus, etch.

I agree with this. I don't care about ports or what not... I just don't want the games being broken when brought to the platform. This happens both ways though. Sometime a developer will make a great PC version but then slacks off when bringing it to consoles (Metro2033).
