One of the main reasons i buy from steam is the fact that if i buy a hard copy from a store .. I tend to finish the game and think "well i wont play that any more now" ... i end up trading it in for cash or another game.

Then i think "I wish i never traded that game in now" ... Then i end up going to buy it again & end up out of pocket lol.

The good thing about steam is i cant trade them in.

I have like 55 games on my steam account now & only about 5 hard copy games that i haven't been able to trade in due to them being locked to some sort of account.

And it seems to be the only form of DRM that actually works. Unless the game itself has 100 other types of DRM in it. *Looks at Batman: AA*

I wonder how they guess these numbers, keep track of the top sellers? Maybe take a random sample of a few thousand steam profiles and watch what people buy.

Would be nice for Valve to just give us some official figures
