Not too long ago I stripped everything down, on rebuilding tested the ram, the CPU was running in low to mid 30s and never got too hot on load, invested in a stronger PSU to make sure that was covered. (Corsair AX1200).

Far as stability went the 6870s were fine, simply the driver issues that I wanted to get away from and have back the ability to create SLI profiles.

Got to say, the Palit SPs did get alot hotter than expected and thats just in Windows. Very strange.

Just have to see how it goes with the EVGA ones today otherwise im throwing in the towel. lol Take up fishing.

Tell me about it. Yesterday I went to the post office to send some stuff, important it had to go. Got soaked in the rain on the way there, got there and the place was closed due to "unforseen circumstances". One day in the year it was closed unexpectedly and it costs me. The package got soaked too on the walk back.

Now the crap with this PC, moving house shortly and thats gone wrong. Getting made redundant from my job. Just an incredible run of bad luck on a daily basis.

Ok, both new cards are in. So far so good. Drivers installed, no errors as of yet. *Touchwood*

Temps of the top card a little on the high side, idle at 46C but the fan is only at 40%.

Bottom card idle at 38C which is ok.

The cards themselves feel alot more sturdy, the build quality is superior to the Palit Sonic Plats I had. They were kinda wobbly and flimsy. The EVGA ones are rock solid.

Not a religious man, but if there is a God I am adament he is testing my resolve and for to be more appreciative of the things I have. For a man on my intellect, I am punching far above my weight for all the good in my life. lol

If you are concerned with SLi temps, the Silverstone Raven cases have the motherboard mounted at a 90 degree angle so the heat rises to the top of the case for removal rather than into the card above it.

They are at the default values out of the box, EVGA 570 GTX Superclocked edition.

Voltages are not equal... each card has each own value.

You can check on MSI AB or GPUz.

Be careful when overclocking those cards with the power limiter off. They tend to die from the smallest of oc's.
