Default Lastest NVIDIA-driver + kenerl 2.6.0-test9?

First it complained that i didn't have the kernel-headers, so I apt-get:ed the 2.6.0-t9-headers and tried again. I found out that the file NVIDIA installer wanted to build a kernel didn't exist in 2.6.0. tried to put the file needed from 2.4 into the 2.6-dir. It started building but crashed...

Has anyone solved this? 2.6+NVIDIA?

Thanks

The NVIDIA drivers require patches to modify the partial driver source to compile successfully against 2.6. The patches also upgrade the driver build system to leverage the 2.6 kernel Makefiles.

I think this is what you're looking for: http://www.minion.de/nvidia.html

http://www.minion.de/files/NVIDIA_ke....0-4496.README

Reference this readme posted with the driver patch at minion.de. If you've tried install by following the directions in this readme, just give aplay-by-play on what you did, following the instructions and what went wrong.

These are well written and thorough.. but perhaps not very clear if you are less familiar with the terms used, it is pretty short and condensed. Rather than have someone here type it all out again, these instructions should make a good basis for discussion.
