Default Buying a laptop with nvidia card

Hello,

I bought four days ago a Toshiba A660 1EM laptop; and I couldn't use nvidia card with Xorg. Linux is my main OS and I will change it.

This laptop came with NVidia 330M Optimus (searching for it I came across it is not supported and it won't be). But I found NVidia 330M driver in nvidia.com support.

I want to know if I buy a new laptop without Optimus technology... will it work in Linux well with the NVidia card? Since every laptop I find has two graphic cards (Intel + Other), I don't know what can I do.

Thanks
