Don't take my word for it, the crack heads over at xtremesystems.org have plenty of info.


My 580 @ 950/2200 is 40% faster than my 480 @ 800/2100 was.

You could overclock your i7-920 to 4gigs if you think you need more cpu power.

I'm with everyone else.... I think your expectations were a little too high. You have to remember that a huge performance gain is rare when dealing with cards of the same generation. I think SLI is probably a much better way to distribute cash to get more performance when you're dealing in the 470+ range of cards
