Post EPIC Shows off Unreal Engine 3 Samaritan Tech Demo, Video Coming Next Week

As we reported a few days ago, NVIDIA and EPIC Games have shown off a new DirectX 11 Unreal Engine 3 tech demo called Samaritan at the game Developers Conference 2011. We are pretty excited about this demo since according to the GDC 2011 session info, the demo is going to show off the full NVIDIA APEX PhysX suite of artist friendly tools and runtime libraries (Clothing, Destruction, Particles and Turbulence). The video was shown behind closed doors at GDC 2011 and they have released some jaw dropping screen shots you can see below. According to Kotaku the video will be released to the public next week sometime. Rock, Paper, Shotgun also has something interesting info that the 'The purportedly 'mind-blowing' tech demo that 'looked like CG' was running on three Nvidia GTX 580s, which is, of course, a set-up designed to maximize the potential of the engine.'

Check out the screen shots below and keep checking in here as we will definitely be posting the video and more information about this demo as it is released and the details about the PhysX being shown off.
