The real question isn't based on company, you're going to need a GPU with high vram, simple as that. The higher the better, and it seems ATi is going this route (higher VRAM)

Only if you game at high resolutions (which most of the general public still don't)

That is the Res I mean't. I would love to game at 2560x1600, but those screens are just to much for me to afford. I could afford one, but want to try out surround gaming. I am thinking of getting 3x27" 120Hz screens. Three of those are a little more expensive than one 30" HP down here.
