The art direction and the dynamic movement/interaction are what set this game apart from anything else for me. I also agree that it does look better than Rage in most screenshots.

I shot an email out to Splash Damage asking about OpenGL 4.1 support, OpenAL + EAX, and about mouse acceleration and smoothing.

Let's hope they can get some options for the mouse in-game for those who want it, and make it easier to disable it for those who don't.

I'm hoping they have 2 renderpaths, one for OpenGL 3.0 (DirectX 9), and one for OpenGL 4.1 (DirectX 11).

"this game looks like it will use DirectX 11 and have hardware tessellation. If id tech 5 doesn't have OpenGL 4 and hardware tessellation, it will be embarrassing."
Embarrassing how exactly?

"I'm hoping they have 2 renderpaths, one for OpenGL 3.0 (DirectX 9), and one for OpenGL 4.1 (DirectX 11)."

OpenGL 2.1 is more like DX9
OpenGL 3.0 more like DX10

Looking forward to this game...The visuals are original (kind of) and the parkour style gameplay is a nice twist to what is becoming a played out genre and the character customisation looks awesome. The only downside so far for me is it might be a little too much like TF2 for my liking (im not a big fan of TF2) but only time will tell when i get the game.

Actually 2.1 is like DirectX 8, remember that OpenGL 3.0 came out a little before DOOM 3 and was similar to DirectX 9. However, OpenGL can always do more with extensions.

Man listen to this guys take on snipers and grenades!

Sounds like its based a lot more on fun, Game-play & teamwork than just pure lame arsed sniping and nade spamming.

The way the "skinny guy" moves around the map kind of reminds me of mirrors edge too.

Out May 17th w00t!

This is made by the same company that made Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. It also seems to have a lot of the characteristics of RTCW/ET MP. That being said, I can't wait.

We should rename this thread to the Official Feedback thread when the game is released.
