I forgot to mention, I hope to be purchasing a 2500K and P67 within the next couple weeks.

EDIT: I ended up getting a nice deal on an i7 920 and Rampage II that I couldn't pass up. I will post some pics in the photos section when I get the parts.

Prebrought Dell in late 2004

Intel Pentium 4 3.4ghz, 1 gig ram, Ati Radeon x850xt, 160gig hardrive.

That died so and dell replaced it with same except a geforce 6800xt.

That "rig" used 17 or 19inch crt dell no brand monitor. Most taxing game played on that rig was
HL2 Ep 1 in 06.

In late 06 I made this

Amd Athlon x2 4600+, 2 gigs ddr2 ocz, Asus am2 micro atx mobo (had dvi out from the on board 6150), reused the 6800xt, 250 gig harddisk. Sony DVD drive, creative soundcard. Aluminum Ultra Micro ATX case, 400watt psu. Rocked win xp pro.

99% percent of the time this was used with my current 2007wfp monitor. Most demanding game it ran was HL2 Ep 1. Which it failed at at 16:10.

Summer 2007, I upgraded. I installed the ram, mobo, cpu, drive and hardisk into a Antec Sonata 3 case with a 500watt earthwatts psu. Out went the 6800xt, in goes a evga 8800GTS 320. Realized my mistake in buying the 320mb version and I step up to the 640mb version.

The greatest upgrade of all time. Thing became much quieter, and everything ran well.

This rig handled 16x10 monitors. Most demanding game was crysis 1.

In summer 08, I exchanged stock fans for silent x fans and a massive ass scythe cpu cooler. Silent as hell frozen over.

This thing lasted a good 2 years on top. Until....

Fall 2009. First my harddrive goes weird. So I replace it with a 1tb segate drive. Then the mother board acts up. Then I was computer less for a week. I got in contact with DDoc, who was selling a great deal on a mobo, cpu, ram and gpu bundle. I bite and the third and final rig is born.

Intel Q9950, Asus P5Q Deluxe, 4 gigs 1066, 1 tb drive, same case, 9800gtx+.

Same 16 10 monitors. Most demanding game was Crysis Warhead. Which it failed at.

Big jump from dead rig. I rocked that until

Sumer 2010, when I spring for Win 7. DVD drive finally died, got another one. I upgraded the cpu cooler, got a tuner card.

Fall 2010 I ditch the 9800gtx (now my backup) for a GTX 460. Aside, the gtx 460 is the best gfx card ever made.

All in all, one dead dell, one dead mobo, one strange harddrive.
Inter Q9950@stock. Scythe CPU cooler.4gigs Corsair ddr2 1066. Segate 1tb drive. Ati Theater Pro 650. Evga GTX460 768@845mhz. Win 7 64 Professional.
Dell 2007wfp S-IPS. Dell P1130. Razer Deathadder. Ducky 87 key mechanical keyboard. Xbox 360 controller for windows.

LOL I have only really had 3 rigs through this time, with a plethora of video cards... Mostly high end "good" deals at the time. I pride myself in maxing out a system for the lowest price. Anyway, here we go....

Rig 1:
Pentium 4 3.0c @ 3.4ghz
1gb (later 2gb) of ddr400 KVR
Abit IC7-Max 3 875 chipset (awesome mobo)
5700 ultra

Upgrade path:
Upgraded to 2gb ram
Swapped gpu to a 5900 ultra thank to the generousity of OWA
Upgraded a year or so later to a 6800 gt... ran it at ultra speads its whole life

Rig 2:
Same case...
S939 Opty 165 @ 2.8ghz ... basically I was running at fx 60 speeds with a $180 cpu, huge overclock from 1.8ghz stock.
Same 2gb of ram
7800 gtx 512mb "ultra" (purchased from OWA)
Abit An8 Fatal1ty Sli (Also purchased from OWA)

Upgrades: This rig went unchanged until the mobo died Dec 08

Rig 3:
Q6600 @ 3.4ghz (2.4 stock)
4gb Ocz Gold ddr800
Gigabyte ud3p ep45
Nvidia Gtx 260 192

Swapped the gpu for a gtx 285
Doubled the memory for $20 :-)
Sold the 285 eventually and got a gtx 470 and my gts 250 for a 3rd monitor / physx

There it is.... 3 real huge upgrades, lots of video cards and all using the same case so to me this still feels like the trusty old beast I built back in 2003 when the P4 was the strongest you could get. Still runs like a champ and I'm planning on upgrading when the nxt big cpu comes out on intel... whenever this socket schism ends. I want Lightpeak, usb 3.0, blu ray, sata 3, and also the next gen of video cards before I retire this monster and move on to a new rig, retiring this one as a LAN only machine and dedicated web / file / media / vent server.

Best part about my planned upgrade, new case, finally!!! Oh, and a 30" dell

Q6600 3.4ghz (378x9) - 1.5v

Dell u3011 IPS Display
HP 22" Auxiliary Monitor
256gb Western Digital Silicon Edge Blue SSD
5x2tb RAID-5 Array
Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit & Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit

---Gaming Laptop---
Core i7 740QM

-Ati Radeon 9200 giagabyte
-Ati Radeon 9250 gigabyte
-Geforce fx5200
-Geforce fx5700
-Sapphire radeon x1600 pro (I destroyed bios on this one and had it replaced with the same one)
-Sapphire Radeon hd 4750 512mb
-Geforce 8800gts 312mb (ohhh god It was most expensive card ever(it was new when I got it) and there was so much problems with memory leaks)
-Current: Inno3d OC 8800gt 512mb. (good solid card. Even Crysis 2 works well)

And 2 years ago xbox 360 :P

I have a plan to get a whole new- future proof expensive rig with most powerfull parts after this summer.

Well. looking back at all this. Plenty of experience. Ive made every pc myself with exception of first one offcourse. Ive not listed power bricks becouse Ive always had unbranded ****ty ones. Currently I have my only ever branded PSU Chieftec 450W.

One point Ive never paid any attention to, were computer cases. Now I know its as important as other parts, so next time I am going to get a good expensive, well cooled case from corsair etc.

I am getting older and older... but passion still remains. I always got excited with new pc hardwre. Especially graphics cards. Ive proboably not listed everything
And damn I got sentimental again
