Hi
I'm trying to set up Nvidia hdmi audio with the GT424M. I'm using the latest Nvidia and alsa drivers(260.19.44 and 1.24.1) and kernel 2.6.38.4. My problem is that at boot up I'm getting no hot plug events in kernel.log, such as: HDMI hot plug event: Pin=5 Presence_Detect=0 ELD_Valid=1. So I have no positive eld files such as: monitor_present 1 eld_valid 1 monitor_name DELL U2410 connection_type HDMI eld_version [0x2] CEA-861D or below edid_version [0x3] CEA-861-B, C or D manufacture_id 0xac10 product_id 0xf016 port_id 0x40000 support_hdcp 0 support_ai 0 audio_sync_delay 0 speakers [0x1] FL/FR sad_count 1 sad0_coding_type [0x1] LPCM sad0_channels 2 sad0_rates [0xe0] 44100 48000 88200 sad0_bits [0xe0000] 16 20 24 Can someone tell me what would stop the Nvidia driver writing PD/ELD information into the audio hardware? My Xorg.conf shows eld info concerning my monitor, so why not audio? Video is fine with the driver. I attach my Xorg.0.log produced with -logverbose 6. thanks Cliff |

Hi
Has this got anything to do with at what point the Nvidia driver is loaded in relation to the alsa modules? Just a thought. Anybody? Cliff |
