Hi there,
I was just wondering if using the Nvidia Linux driver (nvidia.ko) is supported at all with XFree86 rather than X.org? I have it working apparently fine after patching XFree86 to resolve a couple of undefined external symbols which nvidia_drv was complaining about - without them XFree86 would crash. Maybe I shouldn't have done this. I'm using an ASUS 9600GT card and its VGA, DVI and HDMI interfaces all seem to work just fine. Thanks, Steve |

xfree86 has been dead for quite a few years. make no expectation of the nvidia blob or even nouveau working with it.

The current release is... December 2008. I'll start to use Xorg now then!
Thanks, Steve |
