Read the fine print on my post.

At this rate, the only thing I will be buying for my PS3 from now on is Blu-ray movies.

Oh - I know. I just laugh whenever someone says it. I hear it, literally, everyday for something stupid.

Same here. Don't you still have to enter the CVV code if you use the stored credit card? I think so. If so that's fine because Capital One alerts me as soon as someone uses an incorrect CVV. I entered it incorrectly one time by mistake and I got flooded with notifications.

Sony only pissed off the hackers and a few linux fans.
The problem was they went after him like a criminal, when he was just a dude who liked cracking things. Had they approached him, and say, offered him 50k a year to act as a security consultant for them, they could have avoided it. Now here they are losing probably millions to this problem, when they could have solved it better by not being the arrogant assholes they usually are.

I knew the PSN was down for the last few days, but I didn't realize how serious this was.

I've almost been robbed $300 worth of merchandises from Macy's. Dress hoes and three pair of dress shirts.

Dress hoes. I meant shoes.

Btw, I checked in my AOL email I have Amazon linked to this email and got email by investigation specialist, they said that there was a new account using my information without authorization and they closed it immediately. Thumbs up to Amazon and Macy for calling me!

If he were just a "dude who liked cracking things" he would have never released his work for others to use to pirate on the PS3.

Sony isn't the Sheriff of Nottingham and these douchebags aren't Robin Hood. This is the real world and the people who did this stuff are no different than any other thieves. If this were Best Buy and a group of idiots broke in and stole all the electronics, would you blame Best Buy or the thieves?

I realize the internet is where all the Che Guevara T-shirt wearing, Mt. Dew Drinking, man-babies hang out, but nothing that happened in the last week is Sony's fault. Criminal acts happened by criminals and you guys are defending them...nice!

He didn't release anything until sony sued him. They could have prevented it by not suing him. They could have prevented it by buying him off to work for them. They didn't because they are sony. Hell, it wasn't even MS's console, and they said they would hire him for a security consultant.

Thats completely differnet. He didn't steal anything. All he did was play around with hardware that he already owned. No stealing occured.

You forgot morons like yourself brah! Fact is, Sony handled it bad, and now they are paying for it dearly. Lesson, don't be an arrogant a-hole company with people who can cause you major problems.

First off you need to learn your facts. Geohotz released the key long before Sony sued him. In fact, it's the entire reason they sued him. Don't argue points you obviously don't know the facts about.

And while he may have not stolen anything, the people using what he released to hack the PSN over the last week have. They are criminals, plain and simple.

Justify if all you want, but being an "arrogant a-hole" company doesn't justify stealing from them. A crime was commited and it wasn't by Sony.

Maybe one day when you grow up you will understand who the criminals were in this case, and who was a business trying to protect their assets...brah!
