Nice article, but he was wrong on not noticing above 60fps. When you pan in a game at 100fps it's a lot smoother than when you pan at 60fps.

Thats one of the reasons I still use a CRT, when LCD tech catches up i'll switch or when my CRT dies.

I'm with ya bro, I say the very same thing about my black and white television, when color has as high a contrast ration as black and thats when I will switch....4:3 for life!!!!

I didn't switch from my CRT's until last year. For desktop productivity, LCD's are fantastic. But for gaming my old CRT's still looked fantastic and better than the vast majority of LCDs. It's not that the technology isn't there (for the most part it is), its just that it costs out the ass. I paid $300 a piece for mediocre IPS panels. They're "good enough" for me.
