Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Companies often use naming schemes for their tech. |

I'll be getting this one instead.
Screen is actually made by LG, but with an ACER logo. Also has the 3D Vision IR Emitter built-in! http://3dvision-blog.com/review-of-t...y-lcd-monitor/ |

From another forum:
"Sorry to ruin it but the LG E2270V does not seem to be a real 120 Hertz display unfortunately. from the specification sheet FREQUENCY (H/V) Analog 30-83kHz/56-75Hz Digital 30-83kHz/56-75Hz" Still might be a decent 27" for the price they're asking.

Ever since I bought a PVA based monitor it made me realize TN's aren't all that great, other than having fast response for gaming. My current PX2370 TN panel has more accurate color than the PVA sitting next to it but everyone thinks the PVA looks better. (much higher contrast ratio / deep black levels / no backlight bleed / wider viewing angle).

There is something new to look for, although not that big. 23" 120Hz LED IPS from Mitsubishi.

I'm really liking the Dell UltraSharp U2711. It doesn't do 120hz, but damn does it look nice. It's got about 27ms of input lag, 15ms on average, so it shouldn't be too bad. Maybe I should just hang on to my current monitor and wait for the next crop of monitors that'll have less input lag and 117% color gamut. The 30 inch has 117% color gamut, but that's just too big if I'm going to be sitting in front of the screen. I doubt we'll see any 120Hz S-IPS panels. Where are you OLED?
Anyone know if the Dell panels do 10-bit color with Displayport, even though there are no NVIDIA Geforce cards that yet offer such a setting? |

No Image Scaler would mean I wouldn't see the boot sequence. I think I'll consider the DELL then. What's 1 frame of lag anyway?
